6:35 Windsor Speculative Bet (4th July) Secret Agent to Open Bookmaker's Satchells

Speculative Bet has been a little quiet of late but from now on I will try to upload a huge priced selection most days. I'm not saying they will all win but every so often we will get a juicy winner or even a placed effort which gives a tidy return.

Secret Agent may be worth a small each-way bet. In many respects I would take note of William Muir's charge of ts second start because he has much better statistics compared with two-year-olds making their debut [hardly surprising]. However, this son of Equiano is interesting because his trainer doesn't send his lesser types to run here and it is often a sign they are held in some regard in the stable. This bay colt also holds an entry to run in a Plus 10 race at Ascot on the 8th July, which isn't the place connections would enter for no reason. I would take this entry as a sign of confidence. Mrs Michelle Morgan has Code Red in training with Muir and if this youngster has a fraction of that horse's ability may have a glimmer of hope at odds of 50/1. This isn't going to be an easy race by any stretch of the imagination but Secret Agent may have each-way claims at speculative odds.
